This award winning coffee is grown outside the capital city of San Jose, in Heredia, at an elevation of 3,800 feet. Fincas de Leon, the estates where Juan Leon, his sons and grandsons have grown and milled coffee for nearly 100 years, produces 7,500 bags of coffee each year in which our wholesale bean broker has exclusive rights. This coffee was recently awarded the 1st place prize at the Sintercafe Cupping Competition by an international panel of artisan judges.
